About
Hey, I’m Alexandria! I’m a self-taught artist from Alberta, and I didn’t actually start painting until 2020, kind of on a whim. But the second I picked up a brush, something just clicked. It became this grounding thing for me - especially painting mountains, which have always been where I feel most centered and connected.
Before art, I spent six years in interior design, had a jewelry business that raised money for wildlife conservation, and even started a holistic nutrition practice for women with ADHD (which I was diagnosed with later in life and suddenly everything made sense 😂). I’ve always been curious and creative, but painting is the one thing that’s really stuck.
When I paint, I let movement guide me. It’s how I process change and emotion, and where I feel most grounded and connected. My work is rooted in that space between motion and stillness, where energy settles into form.
My process is mostly intuitive. I don’t like to over plan, I follow what feels alive in the moment and see where it takes me. Some days that looks calm and grounded, and other days it’s full of motion and chaos. I think that balance is what keeps my work feeling real.
Since 2023, I’ve been lucky to share my work through local shows, commissions, and collaborations, murals, and live painting - all different angles to channel different parts of myself that I love tapping into while also getting to share my work.
In the end, my goal is simple: to create art that moves people. Not just visually, but emotionally. If someone can pause, breathe, and feel a little more connected because of it, then I’ve done my job.
